Coastal Climate Resilience and Marine Restoration Tools for the Arctic Atlantic basin in collaboration with the sister project A-AAGORA &#8211; Blueprint for Atlantic-Arctic Agora on cross-sectoral cooperation for restoration of marine and coastal ecosystems and increased climate resilience through transformative innovation.<\/p>\n<p>This grant is financed by the Portuguese National Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) under the Collaboration Protocol signed between FCT and the AIR Centre.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n<\/div><\/div><\/main><!-- close content main element --><\/div><\/div><div id='av_section_2'  class='avia-section av-65antd-1fa7d2c18815c0e29d6ba45b1d439d55 main_color avia-section-default avia-shadow  avia-builder-el-3  el_after_av_section  el_before_av_one_full  avia-bg-style-scroll container_wrap fullsize'  ><div class='container av-section-cont-open' ><div class='template-page content  av-content-full alpha units'><div class='post-entry post-entry-type-page post-entry-2561'><div class='entry-content-wrapper clearfix'>\n\n<style type=\"text\/css\" data-created_by=\"avia_inline_auto\" id=\"style-css-av-lgp5ol5e-1d325353a9b593c8c4be45b7732f0e05\">\n\n@media only screen and (min-width: 990px){ \n#top .av_textblock_section.av-lgp5ol5e-1d325353a9b593c8c4be45b7732f0e05 .avia_textblock{\nfont-size:18px;\n}\n}\n<\/style>\n<section  class='av_textblock_section av-lgp5ol5e-1d325353a9b593c8c4be45b7732f0e05'  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><h3>The AIR Centre PhD Scholarship Programme aims at training the leaders of the future<\/h3>\n<p>Enhancing scientific research and technology development capabilities of AIR Centre Network in order to better respond to national priorities and global challenges in the Atlantic region;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strengthening existing collaboration ties and exploring or developing new collaboration ties between the AIR Centre and the Portuguese scientific community in areas of common interest;<\/li>\n<li>Promoting bilateral\/multilateral cooperation between Portuguese scientific institutions and other institutions from diverse Atlantic countries through inclusive knowledge and data sharing to promote job creation, young entrepreneurship and inclusive sustainable development;<\/li>\n<li>Expanding the reach of the AIR Centre scientific agenda through a wider engagement with the academia to demonstrate the societal relevance and public value of research.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Doctoral research work will be carried out entirely or partially in a Portuguese institution.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duration<\/strong><br \/>\nScholarships are annual, renewable to a maximum of 4 years.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Submission<\/strong><br \/>\nApplications and all supporting documents must be submitted online using the Application Form available on each scholarship page. Applications submitted by other means will not be accepted.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Process<\/strong><br \/>\nPlease note that you will need the items listed below. To ease the submission process, we suggest you gather them before you start your application:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Copy of your Identification Document (ID card, passport);<\/li>\n<li>Certificate degree and grades transcript.<\/li>\n<li>Your Curriculum Vitae and saved as PDF;<\/li>\n<li>A Motivation Letter;<\/li>\n<li>Your PhD work plan, if applicable (please check scholarship page for details before working on this);<\/li>\n<li>2 Recommendation letters.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Notification of results<\/strong><br \/>\nEvaluation results will be communicated to the email address provided by the candidates in the application form.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Important Date<\/strong><br \/>\nPlease check scholarships page for call opening and deadline date.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Before applying,\u00a0we STRONGLY RECOMMEND\u00a0that you carefully read the Public Notice of the Call for detailed information on the application, evaluation and selection process. When doing so, please make sure to write your email address correctly since all relevant information regarding your application will be sent to that email. Once you register, a password will be sent to your email and you can then Log In. Access the Scholarship Programme tab and scroll down to see all the available scholarships.<\/p>\n<p>You can only submit one application for each scholarship\/theme. You can edit and save the application form at any time. The form will be available on the platform for editing until the application deadline, or until you submit the application. Once you submit your application, you will not be able to un-submit or make any changes.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that the application to this scholarship program does not grant you a place in a PhD programme.
