From the 6^th to the 8^th of October the AIR Centre organised a meeting, at the Thalia Theatre, Lisbon, gathering the team from Azores and Lisbon for a series of presentations and activities. The purpose was to strengthen the internal communication and cooperation leading to a better work environment and results.

On Saturday morning we engaged in a team building activity which consisted of cleaning up litter on a beach near Lisbon. There, we met with an environmental engineer, representing a local association, Movimento Claro, who described the littering situation on most beaches around the coastal area of Lisbon. Our team gathered plenty of trash lying on the sand, which, we concluded, consisted mostly of cigarette butts and very small pieces of plastic. This activity showed that if everyone makes a small effort, together we can protect our oceans, contribute to a safer environment for the local community and support a sustainable local economy.
