PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The proposed activity is a de-risking study with the purpose of validating the market assessment and perform a technical and economic feasibility analysis for a small satellite constellation, targeting primarily services for the Atlantic region stakeholders. To this end, for selected applications, end-user needs and operational requirements will be assessed together with related customers’ willingness to pay, allowing to analyse trade-offs between revenues and costs of different combinations of sensors, bus and applications. This study will lead to the refinement of system requirements and high-level architecture definition for the satellite constellation, paving the way for the end-to end development of the system. The current proposal was initially considered to be submitted by Magellan Orbital. It is currently presented by Omnidea and it is intended to be transferred to Magellan Orbital in the very near future.
