Technology Transfer and Knowledge Enhancement Centre of the Universidade de Lisboa inaugurates new facility

The building that will host the Technology Transfer and Knowledge Enhancement Centre of the Universidade de Lisboa, has been recently inaugurated, providing brand-new facilities to promote the connection between science, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

Last month, the inauguration ceremony of the Technology Transfer and Knowledge Enhancement (TTC@Lisboa), managed by the University of Lisbon. The brand-new facility had an investment of 4.7 million euros, 2 million of which came from European Regional Development Fund (FEDER), allowing to restore the building with workspaces, laboratories, and other services. This renovation equipped the centre to support entrepreneurs, researchers, and companies to foster new ideas and interaction between society and academia, promoting the transfer of knowledge and technology.

This facility will be home to various entities, including the Atlantic International Research Centre (AIR Centre), the collaborative laboratory +Atlantic (CoLab+Atlantic) and the Laboratory of Instrumentation and Experimental Particle Physics (LIP), as well as startups like Heart Genetics, LX-Bio, WeNou, TargTex and MPC designworks.
