On May 22, 2017, Manuel Heitor, Minister of Science, Technology, and Higher Education, Portugal, and portuguese institutions and scientists participated in a round table and workshop for the German-Portuguese cooperation in the field of research held at the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ), Potsdam.

During these meetings, the Atlantic Interactions agenda was presented to the German scientific community and the potential areas of interest and collaboration were discussed with the reference topics marine research, bioeconomy, high-perfomance computing.
