AIR Centre Joins Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC)

The AIR Centre has officially joined the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC), a prominent international organization dedicated to developing open standards for geospatial and location-based services. This membership signifies a commitment to enhancing collaboration and innovation within the geospatial community.

The OGC is recognised for its role in promoting Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable (FAIR) location information. With over 550 members from various sectors, including industry, government, and academia, the consortium fosters a collaborative environment aimed at addressing interoperability challenges and advancing geospatial technologies. Through its consensus-based approach, OGC facilitates the creation of standards that support effective decision-making and innovation across diverse domains.

By joining the OGC, the AIR Centre will engage with a network of experts and contribute to the ongoing development of standards that enhance the usability and sharing of geospatial data.
