2019 Southeast – International Innovation and Commerce Summit

Energy, Ocean, Economy and Sustainable Development

In recent years, many Atlantic region countries decided to address global problems to create local solutions. As a result, these countries have established a successful and prosperous network to share their science and technology assets to respond to these challenges together while addressing the intricacies of local needs at the same time.

This summit aimed to explore multi-national collaboration opportunities and new approaches and synergistic solutions in innovation and commerce within the energy economy, ocean economy and sustainable development, by starting high level talks between multi-sectoral and multi-national stakeholders in the private and public sectors at this summit.

Over the two days event we heard from the public and private sector executives and innovators of some of these countries located in the European Union, West Africa and South America, and also had southeast U.S. speakers to discuss region’s energy and ocean economies, and sustainable development plans.

As a result we have started paved the way towards building a strong and lasting relationship between the Atlantic region countries and the southeast U.S. to support one another for sustainable growth.
