Ana Faria
Project Manager
Ana Faria has specialized in behaviour, ecology and development of fish larvae. Understanding how behaviour, and different life history strategies and features might influence the survival of larval stages is critical for a better understanding of population connectivity and recruitment, with implications for both conservation and fisheries’ management purposes.
She’s particularly interested in studying the impacts of anthropogenic related stressors on fish behaviour, developmental ecology, sensorial ecology, and how these impacts might affect fitness and survival during this critical life stage, and ultimately recruitment and dynamics of marine populations.
Currently a member of the Ocean Policy group at the AIR Centre, contributing to several Horizon Europe projects in the Atlantic and Arctic basins.
