Applications for the One Ocean Expedition Course on Climate Science, Policy, and Human-Nature Connections – a UT Austin Portugal sponsored ocean mission

The UT Austin Portugal is announcing a training program for PhD students for the One Ocean Expedition Course on Climate Science, Policy, and Human-Nature Connections. The program is co-organized by the Universities of Bergen, Harvard, John Hopkins, and Texas at Austin.

The program will grant five spots to candidates affiliated with Portuguese Institutions. To be eligible for the UT Austin Portugal financial assistance, you must submit a recommendation letter from your home institution.

The Interdisciplinary Course in Climate Science, Policy, and Human-Nature Connections will explore knowledge in the areas of science, policy, innovation, which will be important for the students to pursue specialized climate-related topics in their respective fields. In this course, the students will have the opportunity to explore the facets of climate change and the oceans and will be provided with knowledge of scientific and climate-related topics.
