Atlantic Aquaculture Forum 2025 recap: revisiting key discussions from Terceira Island
Last November, the second edition of the Atlantic Aquaculture Forum took place on Terceira Island, in the Azores, bringing together experts, policymakers, researchers, and industry practitioners for two days of open discussions on the future of aquaculture in the Atlantic.
Organised in collaboration with the Governo dos Açores and the Escola do Mar dos Açores, the forum provided a space to reflect on what it takes to develop aquaculture in a sustainable and responsible way. Participants explored key challenges facing the sector, shared practical experiences, and discussed pathways for innovation, governance, and environmental stewardship across the Atlantic region.
While no single solution emerged, the conversations highlighted the importance of collaboration between science, policy, and industry to support a resilient and sustainable aquaculture sector.
A recap video of the event is now available, offering a look back at the discussions and perspectives shared during the forum.
The next edition of the Atlantic Aquaculture Forum is already being preparing, with further details to be announced soon.
