The AIR Centre joined the 1st Regional Meeting of the Azores Space Teachers Network (ASTN) on July 16–17 on São Miguel Island, Azores, reinforcing its commitment to space education and regional development.
The EO4SURE project held a Living Lab session today at IMar’s facilities in Mindelo, Cape Verde, with support from AIR Centre, Indra Deimos, and INE – Instituto Nacional de Estatística de Cape Verde.

The AIR Centre announces the exciting opportunity for supporting two (2) researchers from institutions in the West Atlantic Coast of Africa to attend the “Enhancing marine biodiversity data collection and publishing” workshop, which will take place from 10 – 14 November 2025 in Terceira Island, Azores.
The AIR Centre will attend the Ciência2025, Portugal’s flagship science and innovation gathering, presenting a dedicated session on “Scientific Cooperation with the Global South” on July 11.
The presentation will showcase ongoing initiatives involving researcher mobility, joint research projects, and collaborative innovation programs that are reshaping the landscape of international scientific cooperation.
The second field campaign of the CliN-BluFeed project was launched on 4 of June 2025 (Figure 1 – transect), aiming to improve the understanding and monitoring of C. finmarchicus distributions and dynamics.
