Call for Participation: Survey on User Engagement in Blue Markets

The Copernicus Marine Service (CMEMS), a vital source of ocean data supporting the sustainable blue economy, is launching a survey as part of its “Blue Markets User Engagement and Product Uptake” initiative.

The initiative brings together key partners as the AIR Centre and the +ATLANTIC, who have joined forces to address Climate & Adaptation challenges within Copernicus Marine Service, and Eurisy, who will focus on the Polar Environment Monitoring and Ocean Health sectors. These institutions share a commitment to enhancing the accessibility and effectiveness of marine data services.

This survey aims to enhance user engagement and increase the uptake of Copernicus Marine products across three key blue market sectors: Polar Environment Monitoring, Climate and Adaptation, and Ocean Health.

Designed to map and identify European stakeholders actively involved in these sectors, this survey will gather crucial user requirements for Copernicus Marine data.

This will provide insights and recommendations to improve the relevance and usability of the service, ensuring it meets societal demands for knowledge and sustainable ocean management.

Key objectives of the survey:

  • Identify and map the landscape of European stakeholders in the targeted blue market sectors
  • Gather user needs and requirements for Copernicus Marine data
  • Offer recommendations for enhancing service relevance and usability

The survey targets European marine scientists and users of Copernicus Marine data. We encourage all stakeholders to participate in this important initiative to help shape the future of ocean data and contribute to a more sustainable blue economy. Your insights will be invaluable in advancing our collective understanding of ocean health and management.
