Copernicus Marine Service Announces Workshop on Ocean Health Data Analysis

The Copernicus Marine Service will host the Marine Data 4 Ocean Health 2025, a comprehensive two-day workshop from January 29-31, focused on ocean ecosystem monitoring and health assessment. This specialized event will bring together experts to explore practical applications of Copernicus Marine Service products in understanding and monitoring marine ecosystems.

The workshop will address critical marine challenges, with sessions dedicated to phytoplankton dynamics, coral reef monitoring, oil spill tracking, and eutrophication assessment. Nine distinguished speakers will share their expertise and insights throughout the event.

Participants will benefit from hands-on practical sessions on the second day, featuring live demonstrations of data analysis using various tools including Jupyter Notebooks, QGIS software, and R Studio. These sessions aim to enhance participants’ ability to effectively utilize marine data for ecosystem monitoring.

This workshop represents an important step in advancing ocean health monitoring capabilities and strengthening the connection between data providers and users in the marine science community.
