Flávio Tiago

Flávio Tiago is an Associate Professor with Habilitation (Agregação) at the University of the Azores, where he is Coordinator of the Management Department. He holds a PhD in Economic and Business Sciences (UAc) and completed his Habilitation at ISEG — University of Lisbon. He is also researcher at ADVANCE (ISEG-ULisboa) and CEEAplA (UAc) and his work focuses on management, innovation, digital economy and marketing. From 2022–2025 he served as Regional Director for Science, Innovation and Development in the Government of the Azores. He was the founding CEO of NONAGON Science & Technology Park and now chairs its General Assembly. He is non-executive Chair of PCTTER and a non-executive Board member of the AIR Centre. He has published on regional development, led international collaborations and EU-funded projects, and serves as mentor, jury member and speaker internationally.
