Marine User Days
- DATENovember 5th-6th, 2024
- LOCATIONMuseu do Oriente, Lisboa
The Marine User Days is a two-day event which serves as a platform for the marine user community to discuss the role of Copernicus data in oceanography and marine applications.
As the Earth Observation component of the EU Space Programme, Copernicus provides a wealth of open data for monitoring the marine environment. In Lisbon, participants will have the opportunity to present and discuss use cases focused specifically on Earth Observation (EO) data, EO-derived products, and climate data records based on the applications of Copernicus data. The overarching goal is to foster innovation and advance marine science to preserve the marine environment and its resources.
Through presentations, workshops, and networking opportunities, the “Marine User Days” event will be a valuable platform for strengthening partnerships, exchanging feedback, sharing best practices, and cultivating new collaborations. Attendees are welcome from across the marine community, including those involved in policy and governance, academia and research, and commercial entities, as well as new users.
The event’s organisation is led by EUMETSAT in partnership with the European Commission, European Space Agency, the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts, Mercator Ocean International and the Copernicus Marine Service.
