Co-hosted by NEREUS and CDP, at the Port of Antwerp on March 11, 2025, this event aims to bring together leading experts, policymakers, and industry stakeholders to address the pressing challenges facing coastal communities in an era of climate change.
The day-long workshop, running from 09:30 to 15:50 (Brussels time), will showcase cutting-edge tools and applications developed under the OCEANIDS project. These innovations aim to revolutionize how coastal communities approach resilience and adaptation in the face of environmental challenges.
The event’s program features expert presentations on state-of-the-art technologies, interactive round tables, and advisory board discussions led by specialists in space oceanography and GIS innovation. A particular focus will be placed on how Copernicus data can enhance regional and local resilience strategies.
The workshop targets a broad spectrum of maritime sector stakeholders, including regional government officials, EU policymakers, private sector leaders, and environmental agencies. This diverse participation aims to foster comprehensive discussions about sustainable seascape management and inclusive coastal development.
One of the workshop’s key objectives is to demonstrate OCEANIDS’ pioneering tools and their practical applications in promoting resilient coastal communities.
