AIR Centre became a Supporter for the All-Atlantic Ocean Research and Innovation Alliance at the Alliance 2025 Forum
The AIR Centre has formally been recognised as a supporter for the All-Atlantic Ocean Research and Innovation Alliance (AAORIA) at the All-Atlantic Forum 2025 today, September 26, during the “Cross-Cutting Atlantic Science Interactions” session.
Together with the AIR Centre, other ocean leading institutions and activities were also recognised as supporting the implementation of AAORIA – ICES, GEOMAR, Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco, Oceano Azul Foundation and The Ocean Race. Their support follows the example of IOC-UNESCO which became the first official AAORIA supporter at last year’s forum in Ottawa, Canada.
This announcement reflects the AIR Centre’s commitment to advancing sustainable and equitable management of the Atlantic Ocean in collaboration with AAORIA members. The partnership focuses on addressing global challenges and local priorities through a framework that promotes science, innovation, and international cooperation.
