BlueMissionAA Featured in Mission Ocean and Waters Portal as Project Approaches Conclusion

The Mission Ocean and Waters portal has featured BlueMissionAA in a comprehensive piece highlighting the project’s work in advancing blue innovation across the Atlantic and Arctic basins as it approaches its conclusion at the end of October.

The BlueMissionAA project, coordinated by the AIR Centre under the leadership of Valerie de Liedekerke, Head of the organization’s Ocean Policy and Stakeholders’ Engagement Program, has served since 2022 as the Coordination and Support Action (CSA) for the EU Mission Restore our Ocean and Waters Atlantic-Arctic Lighthouse. Bringing together over 10 Horizon Europe projects, it was recognized with the Atlantic Project Award in 2023.

The project’s outcomes include the WaveLinks, a digital platform developed together with sister project BlueMissionBANOS and Prep4Blue. with nearly 5,900 projects catalogued, 90 demonstration sites across 17 Associated Regions, and over 120 Charter Actions. BlueMissionAA also developed the Responsible and Sustainable Research Reflection Tool and delivered 35 episodes of the “Weekly Hours” webinar series.
